Loch Morlich is a beautiful lake set in the midst of the Cairngorm Mountains in the Scottish Highlands, not far from the tourist and ski centre of Aviemore. This painting shows the sun-drenched boulders in the foreground and the high mountains on the far side of the Loch. Unfortunately most of the rocks have now been removed to serve the interests of boating and other lake sports.
